While brainstorming a couple of months ago about the shortcomings of the S2000 gauge cluster Jonathan Jones at Maximum Velocity Motorsports (there's your plug and credit ) and I came up with an idea that he and his fabricator made real.
The two gauge A pillar has been around for a long time but a three gauge solution has required a lot of modification to the car's interior and an unfavorable angle when you're done.
CO's edit the content as you see fit for vendor considerations but here are the results:

Looks great Mike! No need to edit anything, you're not making a commercial post. I definitely favor the a-pillar setup for gauges as opposed to anywhere else. It almost looks stock there. Good work!
The visibility would be my first concern, second would be the readability of the gauges. I think i still favor the three gauges in the radio door but i would consider this if i were in the market.
I really do not like the radio door gauge setup at all. Is the S2k a-pillar to small to fit the 3-gauge setup right in a row like Ive seen in some cars?

How is visibility around a left hand turn tho?
The height at which they're set is below your typical field of vision - at least if you're 6' tall or so and have the seat adjusted as I do. That's one of the reasons the single gauge on the inside is situated between the other two.
It's really no different from seeing around the A pillar with nothing on it.

The problem with the radio door is you're looking down at an obtuse angle and you have to move your head to see the gauges well. With the A pillar setup you just have to move your eyes which makes it much easier to reaquire the road.
If you're checking the boost gauge you sure don't want to have to move much to see the road again.

IIRC there was a three gauge pod but it is discontinued. I think I would prefer this cluster arrangement anyway.
Rick's has a 4 guage radio door setup that's pretty slick but it's $1200!
Mike I can't honestly say I like or dislike your setup (so why am I saying anything? ). I'd have to sit in the car to know if the "odd guage out" would make a difference. I'll be honest and say I would probably like three in a row better. I do prefer them on the pillar more than on the radio door though - so long as you can control the backlight brightness.

Seriously this is the part I like best. There's not a lot of up and down eye movement just side to side. I just hope I don't rear end someone in the next two weeks or so while watching the AF gauge flatline when I let off the throttle.
