Default Layla's gone

Won't be at the crawfish boil tomorrow. I can't torture myself with seeing everyone else's when I flipped mine last night. I'll post pictures later. For those of you going, eat Jake and I's share of crawfish since we paid for them. I'm ok physically, but mentally I'm not so hot. Just wanted to let you guys know.

An accident like that is quite traumatic. It's good to know that you're physically okay and mentally it takes alittle time. I'm sure you get another S....come join us Saturday...might catch one for sale Get well Soon

What happened was my fiance and I were doing some spirited driving on a nice curvy road. I was speeding. Not too excessively. Hit some loose gravel or something in the road. Back end broke loose. When I corrected the other direction I went into the oncoming lane. Knew if I stayed there I was going to have a head on collision. In my attempt to recorrect in the opposite direction, I over corrected, went into a muddy shoulder slid into an embankment and flipped. Car landed on top of me; wasn't wearing my seatbelt.

Good news is the insurance company said I get to add in the price of all my mods to the cars total value. This includes the 9K motor and the 4K paint job and a few select other things. Brings the car's value up high enough where they won't total it because it has to be 70% of the car's worth in damage to be totaled.

If it were me, I would let them total it out, cut a check for the retail price+taxes, buy it back for the salvage value which will be low (if I had to guess about $1000), and then part it out. Just caught the pix, actually you can sell it "as is". Well, thats what I did when someone totalled my Prelude years ago. Good luck.

No seat belt during spirited driving?
