Greddy owners in California...5 days later
I apologize for the long post, I just want to share my morning commute.
I was on my way to work this morning. Scheduled to work at 7am, I was passing through the city of Lincoln at about 6:35am. I was driving the speed limit of 25mph through the city when ahead of me I was approaching two cop cars parked on the side of the street. As I passed the two cop car I see them pull out behind me. I'm a bit nervous looking at these two Dodge Hemi Charger police cars in my rear view. After about 20sec they hit the lights.
I pull off to the next side street. The officer asks for my license and registration. I start to call my Chef to let him know I'll be late for work. The officer comes back while I'm on the phone and asks, "Now what kind of modifications do you have under the hood"? I keep my Greddy CARB sticker in my radio cover and hand it over to him and said to him, "I have a Greddy turbocharger". He takes a look at it, hands it back, and asks to pop my hood.
As I'm getting out to pop the hood I can hear the other 2 officers saying, wow full roll cage, seats, calipers, just totally checking out the car.
I pop the hood and they swarm the engine bay with flash lights out trying to find anything illegal that my be hidden. Reming you that I'm still on the phone trying to contact my Chef. I finally get a hold of him and tell him the situation. My Chef says he understands and says HI to the cops for me. I hang up the phone and tell the officers my Chef says hello. They all chuckle which breaks the tension.
After taking a picture of my engine bay they we start to talking about how much horsepower, boost, do I track, how much money do I have into the car?
They hand back my license, registration, and insurance. Mention that they've never seen a RWD Honda before, especially one this clean, most the cars they pull over have Kagen intakes, exhausts barely hanging on, NOS, stolen parts. They thank me for my cooperation and say that they had to pull me over with that bright, shinny intercooler. He says this probably won't be the last time.
As I'm getting back into the car they say that they want to hear this thing. I fire it up and their satisfied. I take off and leave them with the sound of my illegal BOV that they missed.
I'm sure they were just bored and wanted to size up their Dodge Chargers with the S2000. I left with no citation, this is My reason why I chose the Greddy kit over other turbo kits.

Thank you so much. I'm very happy that you were let go without a citation. This is very comforting to me as I have the same set-up.
Just for you cops out there, he was only kidding about the bov.

FYI, I've driven my S a handful of times on the main roads since install, and this past month I've driven my car 3 times and have been pulled over twice already. Thats a 66% chance of getting pulled over so far, 40% overall. At this rate I might as well flip a coin to see if I should drive the S.
yeah the bright yellow probably didn't help. The fact that you removed the factory grille makes the intercooler stand out a lot more too (i just recently removed mine). The intercooler is so much more prominent this way...i like the cleaner look, but although the kit is legal, i don't want the extra hassle from the attention that it may get me (like in your situation), so i may reinstall mine.
Good to hear that you didn't get cited! Hopefully the rest of us will be just as lucky in the future.
I keep the CARB sticker in the engine bay (since its technically supposed to be on or near the turbo kit). And i printed the CARB approval letter off of the ARB website and keep it in the car for added backup, just in case a cop needs some extra proof.

my kit never came with a sticker??????????? How can I go about getting one?
cops in jersey are relatively cool about mods; when i was on the side of the highway due to an oil leak, i showed the cop my set up and he didn't seem to care about my loud exhaust, no front plate, aftermarket turbo, and radar detector
