Default EZ TOP Glass Softtop for MY00 Review

I wanted to make a post on here because I was unable to find any resource on the brand specific to the s2000 and I decided to go out on a limb with them. Please feel free to ask any questions, but here is my basic review.

Fit: As close to perfect as you can expect

Quality: A+

Communication from distributor and direct at EZTop: I have no interest in EzTop or the ebay seller, but the guy i went through was "hindsightseeing." I generally would not recommend someone like this, but this guy has excellent communication and is a great seller. I sent him an email at 2am on a saturday and had a responses by 7am Sunday. I sent about 5 emails to him before deciding to make the purchase and all of those were equally prompt. Also, I called Eztop for clarifcation on one step in the directions (the strap) and they were more than willing to help.

Difficulty of install: Seems the same as others, but stretching was not really an issue, everything fit well. It really does take 10 hours.

Added bonus: This top does not need the same frame modification as an 02 top or even the Robbins top. There is only one strap, which is designed to add to the structural integrity. The reason for this appears to be that the window is slightly smaller than the 02+ window. Accordingly, the top I bought is made specifically to fit an 00-01. They sell a different top for 02+, I am not sure on the differences.

Overall, I paid 430 (ebay, buy it now) for a glass top shipped. The top looks great, its super tight and comes with pretty good directions. I highly recommend EzTop if you need a replacement.

Hope this helps give a bit of comfort that the EZtop is a great replacement, I was very hesitant of buying a top off ebay, but it worked out well.

Dang it, I was going to get the EZ top but didnt find much feedback, then an opportunity for me to buy a robbins top came up so I took it.
Today was day 2 of my install and man do I hate rivets. So far I was able to gut the interior, remove the top, and prep the new top. Next will be installing the straps and then the reverse sequence begins.

Hah, yeah the rivets are a pain. Luckily I had someone helping me who knew far more than I did. Speaking of those, I suggest everyone find long rivets before doing this, I had to buy 5 assorted packs because only the biggest were long enough to go through the top and rain gutter.

I too was unable to find any feedback, thats why i wnated to make this post. I only went with the Eztop after several days of internal debate and being impressed with the sellers customer service.

Ah, I used those two piece rivet thingies that you hammer together (or at least i think you do...) that came with my top. The robbins top was coo cuz they send you all the stuff you need plus a coupel extra just in case... but still wasnt enough. And I'm going to have to go to the hardware store anyway because I just realized what about the other rivets on the frame and such (top gave me rivets for the rain gutter and the straps for the top frame, but no more) and I'm going to need a couple extra drill bits and a portable vacuum cleaner to get all of the metal shavings from drilling the rivets out.
Your pics give me hope, I'm just about over the mountain.
