Default DRIVE: Blewett/Chumstick/Merritt loop

Meet at 10:00 AM at the Fred Meyer/Home Depot parking lot in Redmond (Union Hill & 178th). Big parking lot, plenty of space. Please have at least half a tank of gas.

We'll head north and east through some farm land; there are some decent twisty roads but they are a bit suburban - in other words, expect traffic - and you'll probably encounter some foul smells along the way too.

First stop will be Deception Falls on US2; ~1 hour into the drive. The falls are so-so, but there are bathrooms to relieve morning coffee buildup.

Lunch stop will be the 59er diner on US2, probably a bit after 12:30.

There's a Shell station a bit down the road for those who are low on fuel; gas gets sparse after this. Please fill up after eating if you didn't start the drive with a full tank.

We'll take a fun detour around Leavenworth, then head down 97. Stop in Cle Elum, then back on I-90 (sorry, no real options here).

Total driving: 250 miles, ~5 hours + stops. Estimated back in Seattle around 5pm. I may add a couple small detours but it won't change the overall shape of the drive.

RSVP/add yourself to the list.

easy driving right? If I'm in I'd have the lady with me and I'd have to take it easy.

I don't like stupid shit during my drives. During the straight parts, I usually go 5-7 over the limit, twisty sections at a reasonably fast pace, but leaving some margin for error. You won't hear my tires squealing (much ), and if you do it usually means I just ****ed up the turn.

If people want to do stupid crap like race each other or play captain drift-king, they should do it somewhere else... like on a track.

Chris, PM me your cell #... I may cancel this drive and use it as an outline for going to Leavenworth in August.
