Default Just got pics of a new piece from Darkknight1999

Hey everyone-

Just thought I would whore out a few pics for John (aka - Darkknight1999). He just completed a custom AEM gauge pod for me. My A-pillars were custom molded by John to fit a set of Alpine Type-X tweeter, and I did not really want to clutter it up with an SOS pod.

A-pillar as they are:

John came up with this design to replace my old VAFCII (here is that pic):

Here is the new pod (John is going hopefully ship it tomorrow, he just sent me the final painted pics today):

SEXY TIME! I will post pics of it once its all installed.

John

^ Yup. John is talented.

I had to make a new rearview mirror for the VAFCII piece, though, as it hung down in the line of sight in the OEM location. Very easy to do. You just have to break the OEM mounting hardware out of the OEM mirror, and put it onto a generic adjustible mirror from Autozone... Took 10 minutes with a ball-joint press (had to re-press teh joint at the hardware into the generic mirror's swing arm). Line of sight was even better than OEM (you cannot even see the trunk lid at all.. looks straight back).

I got a rearview camera setup now, and am going to be using the OEM rearview mirror mount/hardware to make a custom Passport 8500 mount. The radar detector is going to replace the mirror in the OEM location.

Pics when its all done. John has wrapped everything up, and it should ship out today!

Yeah, I sent him this picture, and told him I wanted pair upside-down where he did my old piece) and told him I wanted OEM finish. It appears he scaled it down perfectly.

Ferrari 612 interior... Specifically the side AC vents.

And he can do it in CF as well. I am going more for an upscale OEM look on the interior, so I did not want the bling.
