hi guys! this is what i have on my car j's racing header, megan testpipe, greddy EMU, greddy oilcooler , j's racing tsuchinoko intake, im planin on doin a custom 3inch single exhaust on my car with 3inch resonator and 3 inch freeflow exhaust my engine is a balanced and blueprinted 2.0liter JDM f20c engine will i gain or lose power with the size of the exhaust im planin to do on my car?? thanks!!

 

You'll make power, but with the 2.0l you might make just as much with 2.75in, but probably not more so if 3im is easier for you to do go for it.

 

thats my case here in philippines the only sizes available for stainless pipngs are 2inch 2.5inch and 3inch. i wish we can get 2.75 but i tried looking for one but no luck i can only get 3inch so is 3 inch ok? i wont lose power??? thanks!!

 

I'd say take out the test pipe and get a step-up pipe made to increase the diameter from the header to your 3" exhaust. You should make a few hp with 3"

what i have is a ASM twin 60mm exhaust. i dynojet 192whp . how much do you think will i gain with a 3inch single exhaust piping with 3 inch freeflow exhaust??? do i need to put a reso or not?? thanks!!

 

are you concerned about how loud it is? if your not then a header back would be best. if you are the i suggest the t1r 70EM + test pipe or high flow cat.

you dont need the resonator, but it'll help for sound though. you wont gain as much compared to a tune. you should consider pickin up an emange ult.

 

You could make as much as 5 whp from a 3in compared to what you have now.

If you are custom building it, then you should go headerback, just take the TP completely out. If you need to keep the TP for some reason, you could get a 70mm testpipe or a 3in one. Probably similar performance with either.

 

IMO 3" sounds like overkill, unless your going turbo
