Default Shopping Cart Damage...

Just a heads up to everyone out there...I have had my S2K for a week and in the Best Buy parking lot one of their shopping carts slammed into my car and put a fist sized dent in my rocker panel under my passenger door....I left the store and saw the cart sitting against my car went back in fully expecting them to say parking lot damage is not their responsibility...to my surprise they filled a report took a pic of it and the next morning i got a call from their insurance company with a claim number. ...just so everyone knows always go back in and speak to a manager, some places will pay to fix the damage...

i wonder how often they take responsibility and how often they will just blow you off.

Its not exactly common knowledge that a store will take responsibility for things like this.Their must be a reason for that...

I couldn't tell you how often but it must happen cause they had a form that was specific for that....i talked to a friend who worked there for a few years and he has never seen them take responsibility for it...

That's awesome. I used to be an auto insurance adjustor and I can tell you it's not the norm. Most people have to claim it on their comprehensive (non-collision) coverage. Of course, most of the ones I saw happened at Wal-Mart.
