Default Comptech CAI: Whats The Story?

It appears that some time has gone by since the introduction of this CAI. Anyone get any dyno results back to confirm Comptechs claims? Actually I figure if I get added throttle response Ill be happy. Is everyone whos installed the Comptech happy with the product?

i have a comptech cai on my S and i love it. the car has a deep, throaty growl at wide open throttle and personally, i feel that the car is much more responsive. i would definitely recommend it.

Take the hood off your car and drive it that way.

It takes three people and a small monkey to make it fit in the S2000. I think they designed it for a different car and just re-packaged it.

Install time- 1 Hr.
Closing hood- 5 Hr.

Total time- 6 Hr.

Got mine installed today.

AnthonyShafer - again, before you totally knock it, I'd question the installer in getting it installed correctly. there aren't any hood problems. things just need to be flush. please pm/email or give me a ring if you have any questions. thanks.

I agee, I've seen two now installed and both had just a small problem where it rubs against the hood. Nothing major that would cause the hood not to close.

Reedz installed mine last week and although I like it it does hit the hood causing you to have to lift the hood higher in order to close it. May consider selling it on Ebay and installing another one seen on this board the PRN? Forget the mane.

Maybe I was being hasting and posting while I was still upset that it did not fit. I am going to have the install looked at by another Honda mechanic. And go from there.
