Default Choosing the Best / Correct oil

So I have read many opinions but I am looking for some background on what oils are the best to run with a non-water cooled turbo setup. I am no lubrication engineer and would apperciate any input

(1) What weight to use and why?
(2) If a heavier weight is suggested will it have adverse effects on the bearings, pumped volume, pump pressure......
(3) What type Synthetic PAO or other
(4) I use Mobile 1 now why does many people seem to knock it?

Lets make this more techinical. If you go to a 15W-40 what impact will that have on the mainbearings? They are designed with particular oil weight and viscosity in mind. Changing these criteria may ruin the low end of the motor prematurly. Second what about the oil pump with a higher viscosity the pump will have to generate more pressure to obtain the same flow rate to the bearings, and at a higher pressure will the pump hold up and will the bearings be hurt?

What about Amsoil? If you search their site they recommend 5W40 Euro formulation for our car. Why not 0W30? I need help too.

I use Mobile 1 10w30, but am changing to probably either Redline or Amsoil 10w40.
