Default My favorites of 2008

It's been just a little over a year since I've gotten into photography as a hobby and picked up a Sony a700. Still a newbie and there are still much to learn but here are some of my personal favorites so far that I wanted to share. C&C always welcomed, enjoy:

Sunset in Hawaii:

Plumerias:

80mm, f/4.5, 1/640, ISO200,

Flower:

50mm, f.8, 1/50, ISO200, selective desaturation

Candle Lit:

50mm, f/1.4, 1/250, ISO200

Drip:

80mm, f/8.0, 1/250, ISO200

Moon over Beach:

16mm, f/6.3, 30sec, ISO200

Putting for Birdie:

18mm, f/4.0, 1/1250, ISO100

A Day at the Beach:

16mm, f/8, 1/250, ISO100

Taking a picture:

50mm, f/1.4, 1/30, ISO400, selective desat.

Moon over Diamond Head:

16mm, f13, 30sec, ISO200

Thanks!

A CZ16-80mm and a 50mm f/1.4

I'm waiting for a 70-200 f/2.8 to come in hopefully by end of this week or beginning of next.

Great shots, dude. A little bit of a description of how you obtained each shot would be wonderful for us ultra-newbies.
