Talking Supermeet Attendee Information

2/3/2009 Updated!

[B]WHEN: Saturday February 7th, 2009. (Noon to 6:00PM)

WHERE: Plant City Florida, Plant City Stadium Complex, Randy L. Larson Softball Four-Plex, 1700 South Park Road (enter off Albertson Drive)

Directions to the Supermeet site:

Off I-4 take Exit #22 (Park Road) and go south approx. 2.4 miles to Albertsons Drive and turn RIGHT on Albertsons drive, go approx. 1/4 mile and turn left into the Supermeet location. There is a traffic light at the intersection of Park Road and Albertson drive and there will be an S2K Supermeet sign on the corner to help you identify the turn.

For those with GPS here are the Coordinates: Lat: N 27o 59' 50.89" Long: W 82o 6' 28.38"

The Plant City Stadium complex includes the Stadium and a four-plex of practice fields, if you go to the stadium you will be in the wrong location. Our venue is located behind the practice fields.

With just a few days to go the final preparations are being made for the Supermeet. This will be a great opportunity to meet old friends and make new ones, check out everyone's S, find those modifications you want to perform on yours, talk with the Sponsor Vendors about their products and services etc.

The Supermeet will officially begin at Noon on Saturday February 7th but many folks are starting a little early with dinner meeting Friday evening at the Columbia Restaurant in Ybor City.

Saturday morning starts with the group drive and Scott (Zacksdad2) has laid out a great drive for everyone to enjoy, he has enlisted 6 other drive leaders who are excited to show everyone a great time. The group drive has more than 70 cars signed up!! Scott and his leaders will be breaking the group down into more manageable sized groups. For more information on the logistics check out the group drive thread here: Group Drive Info

Everyone should arrive back at the Supermeet location in time for the start at noon. Once you park please make your way to the check in tables to pick up your registration package, which will include your T-Shirt, lunch voucher, etc. You cannot eat without the lunch voucher so please do this early to avoid a rush when lunch is served.

Lunch will be served at approx. 1:00PM under the white "Big Top" tent. In your registration package you will also find a copy of your lunch order as given to us at registration. Please use this to let the servers know what 2 meat selections & 2 vegetable selections you made. Tea & lemonade are included in your lunch and bottled water and sodas will be available for a nominal charge. Alcoholic beverages are not allowed on property, if you were planning on bringing any please don't, you will be asked to leave. I like a cold beer or 2 myself but the facility will not allow us to have alcohol.

A limited supply of Supermeet Event T Shirts will be for sale along with event magnets.

All Sponsor Vendors will be set up and eager to talk with you about their products and services.

Sponsors Vendors include:

1) S&R Performance

2) Advan Yokohama Tire Corporation

3) Presidential Automotive Detailing

There will also be a 50/50 Cash raffle with "House Proceeds" going to the SPGP Fund.

Don't forget to bring your For Sale or for trade S2K parts for the Supermeet Swap Table, you can see some of the items in the Swap Thread.

By request and because I know personally how S owners are about their cars, We will set up a "Wash Station" at the meet site. It will include a hose and at least 1 bucket. Any other supplies you may need or want (wash mitt, towels etc.) you will need to bring. That is all!

[SIZE=7][COLOR=red][B]FYI - Plant City is a small town of approx. 35K people with its own Police Department. The city hosts a car show & a motorcycle show once per month as well as the annual Strawberry Festival. The Police are familiar with dealing with large groups of people and for the most part are very friendly. However like most small towns they derive revenue from traffic citations and often set up on Park Road to run Radar, so please be careful and as always obey the posted speed limit. You heard it here first. Just don't want to see someone
