I thought I might as well tell this story before it got too stale...

So I drive across the state to pick up my car. I have to go back to work and have a meeting with one of our charity clients later in the day. My gas light comes on before I pass my home town - 25 miles away from where I work. I figure it's like any of my Integras, and it's got to have three gallons left.

Being the first day with the top down, I'm zooming down the highway to work. Being such a smooth car, I'm going faster than I realize, and surely wasting lots of gas.

I got to work with an hour before I have to meet with my client. A few things come up in that hour, and I leave with just enough time to get there. Not wanting to be late, I chance it on the gas and... well, of course... you guessed it... I run out!

I make it around a corner but run out of momentum before I can make it all of the way into a parking lot. The closest lot happens to have a huge incline. Even being a guy in pretty good shape who works out almost every day... I was stuck. I had to stop in the middle and just say F it and give it all I had... so I was able to push it into a spot.

After calling my coworker and asking him to touch base with the client, I had to skip down about a half a mile and pick up some gas. Luckily, they had cans for sale at a reasonable price. Hell, I could always use another, right?

So I buy gas, make it back and... well I couldn't find the gas lever. The funny thing is that someone already showed me where it was in an AP1, but I swear it's a little different in the AP2. Anyway, I sit in the car and look around until I find it.

I find it, get out, pull it and all the sudden... owwww! My back goes out! I can't even bend over and pick up the gas can on the ground! And I don't even have back problems, so what gives?

Painfully, I finally finagle myself down by bending my knees and barely get the thing up to fill the tank.

Luckily, things were fine with the client and we had an awesome meeting. I'm working with Habitat for Humanity in my area and helping them with some online initiatives.

But it was just a crazy day overall. Some wreck on the only bridge out of that part of Jacksonville put me an hour behind too... blargh! But I love my car and it's all been worth it!

Anyways, just thought I'd post up... anyone else have such a crazy first day with their S?

 

haha crazy story. Its funny how things happen in a chain of events like that. Makes for a good story though!

 

Is this a cursed S2k?? I hope not, better take it down to little Haiti in Miami for some voodoo or something.

 

wow crazy! i have one but mine isnt as great as your story...

so i pick up my used 07 GPW from a dealership like 3 hrs away.
i start to drive home at around 11pm. its cold. i think its going to snow. but it didnt.....anyways i get home at around 2am and go to bed tired...wake up the next day to see it snowed! so since in live in the dorms i checked to see how my new used car is but i dont see it!! i panic and rush to see where it is....at that moment im thinking "#%@^@ someone already stole it..and i have even owned it for 1 day" so i keep looking around and i finally find it....LOL it was in the same place i parked it but it was all covered in snow..and it didnt help it was a GPW....i felt so stupid afterwards.....

But what are you doing letting your S2k get covered in snow anyways? Get that baby in a nice warm home!

 

i live on base in the dorms....and i cant move....so it leaves me no choice but to leave her outside....
