Default SCCA Drivers School Autocross

Just wanted to give everyone a heads up. The beginners SCCA drivers school for the Chicago and Milwaukee regions are coming up. I haven't been to one myself, but I've heard only good things and really wish this is the way I had started. A little bit of instruction goes a LONG way. Registration fills up fairly quickly, so if you think this is the year for you to start racing, or if you just want to learn some car control, sign up soon!

Details
---------

Chicago Region - April 4 & 5
Milwaukee Region - April 18

I have always wanted to do this but it always seemed to be held the same weekend of WTD. I will see if I can get the car out of storage and back in Iliinois by then.

What's the difference between the two? Is it just prior experience level?

The Learning Curve is great. If you've never done it, do it! I did it a couple years ago and had a blast. I was totally new to the sport and learned a lot of valuable information.

Do it!

in true vwvortex fasion: " r e p o s t "

I was pretty sure Bill (ex s2k owner) posted about the school this week already

Here's the link https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=679094

bat711 - there will be loaners on site so if you don't have a helmet and would like to attend and see if this is something for you you don't have to spend the money on a helmet just yet. If you need/want one anyway then by all means, grab one before the school.

Also, if you have any questions feel free to ask them here or PM any of the veterans. You could also check out the thread from last year, which had good info in itself, and also links to years past with even more goof tips/info. Here's the link --> https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.ph...&f=31&t=572788

Here's another link on the subject, but from Scoobie forum. Also a whole bunch of good info there. http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=1212494

I may copy and paste the good bits into this post later too if i find the time/energy for it

Hope to see s2ks well represented!

About 40 spots left - sign up if you're planning on going.
I just hope we have weather like this past weekend!
