With a few words
You know how it goes .
You always want more power.
The same thing happened to me.
before some years I decided to buy a comptech s/c and
by using the 7psi pulley I had 300whp.
It was very nice
soon I went with a 3mm hg and 14psi that gave me 360whp and
that was.... very very nice
unfortunately I broke my engine and I decided to build a block.
laskey racing builded a block for me.
Everything exept porting and with 17 psi @ 9200 I passed 400whp
That was awesome.
Then I cracked a sleeve.
I could not withstand the waiting so I decided to build a block here in Greece .
GearTech builded the block for me with the same specs.
It

great things..
But i wonder..didnt you loose patience with the car and the whole thing after the second motor died? i hate when you buy things that are top notch and you spent so much time around the motor, put much love in it and it dies.
seems i went the same road, now at 432hp and there is nothing left to do, about power and turbo is left. (but i love the Sound of the Exhaust with the SC..turbo cant match it.)
i like the dyno curve but what i dont like is that the car is basicaly dead to 4000rpm..
i spent my money elswhere for now, bought Bride Stradias carbon/kevlar and 8 pot 14" BBK from VTTR..Dynamatted the whole car, ect.

Great write up,i thought you should have had the first block built locally too.

thanks stena
i will defenately miss my s/c because of that n/a feelling that is not changing the character of our car
on the other hand there is so much torque now, that will help me get over it soon i hope
i love bride stradias too
but now iam worried about my driveshafts and my diff, so i guess i have to spend some money there

in the stock motor we found a broken rod which have done damage to the crank also.
the car was tuned with e manage blue @ 14psi and 3mm hg , rev limit @ 8800rpm.
it happened after winning a street race , (at least i was infront when it broke )
and it appeared as a hard tak tak tak sound

the sleeved block by laskey was tuned with aem 1052u @ 17psi and 9200 rpm rev limit.
it was double checked by 2 different tuners as it was... my precious , my pride
we found a scored sleeve
the weird thing is that the notch was not horizontal but vertical.
it also happened while street racing a subaru.
one of my best street races from 2 gear roll up to 297km or 185mph if you prefer
and we were side by side all time.
i believe that the engine was stressed because stayed for along time at very high rpm .
