Red face low cost big brake kit

I was looking at all the big brake kits i wanna throw on my car last nite..

and its just soooo much $$$$$$$$$$$$$$ lol

Then i started thinking. Why couldnt honda throw on the big ass calipers they have on the last sexy TL type S's on an s2000??? Or something........ even lame ass nissan throws something decently nice on the g35s and the 350z up front

Then i thought about finding a wrecked TL type S or a 350z (for their brembos) and put them on my s2.

Has anyone attempted this? or are there no spacers or adapters to do this. Seems logical to me to do this and get out of 3K for some more breaking power when i really probably dont need a 6pot set up. ALthough i would love it

lmk what u guys know

thanks in advance

sorry to sounds like an arse

but do you find yourself needing one?

they hardly stop shorter than stock consider the pos sliding stock binder have more than enough brake tq, the real benefit would be extended track driving(added thermal mass)

CNC a bracket is very simple but do your math on the MC, fluid displacement and the new big binder before you buy anything

there's people with good fab. skill that can piece together a BBK with junkyard piece, but not everyone knows pascal's law enough to calculate
the before and after effect.

hell, even if you add tons more brake tq in front it doesn't mean it will stop better. the early miata stop worst with a big bbk in front, they are overly front brake biased from the factory. most people get better brake by using an aggressive pad in the rear.

do you know the car enough to make all that changes?

<--been running axxis ult with dot 4 superblue and never have a fading brake on track, even under socal summer sun

^^^^^^^ werd. Why do you need a big brake kit. I have yet to find an instance where the stock brakes were insufficient

you don't need it. Those other companies put bigger calipers on because they need it. S2K's Don't need it..... compared to a G35 or 350Z our cars weigh almost 600lbs less........ Thats a lot less weight that needs to be stopped. plus i think the stock brakes and pads for our car is already REALLY REALLY GOOD!! hahah Unless like what the other people have said, unless your going to the track often and stuff then you won't need it, just buy new slotted rotors and brake pads and that will be the best costly upgrade you will need to do on your s2000000

of course, everything is possible

you can fade a bbk if you ride then long and hard enough.

there's people that hard on the brake even when there's no need to.

so that's why i am asking why the OP needs it?

is he/she fading the pad? which is not hard to do if you going ballistic on VIR or Seca

or does he/she need more brake tq? which could be addressed without breaking bank by high friction pad

retrofitting bigger binder without doing the math is asking for hassle, how many of us can pull pascal's law out of our butt without looking it up?

it seems that retrofitting a bigger binder(without touching the MC, proportional valve, etc) falls into the "if you have to ask then you'll better off without it" category.

well, i am always open for discussion, let's get some numbers in and do the math

Speaking of low cost BBK. I bought some extra calipers about a month or so ago to paint and instead of sending me S2k calipers they sent me calipers for an 06 Accord and guess what, they bolt right up with a little bit of modification to the dust shield. The caliper it self isn't that much bigger but the pad is substantially bigger. I will be doing a write up on the install and give feedback on how they compare to stock whenever i get around to putting them on. Here are a few pics to hold u guys off till then. Enjoy
