Double sided tape to stick it on and in the past 4 years I have never had a problem with the law.

For the MOT I just tape some normal sized, correctly spaced, plates on top of them.

Look on the DVLA site ..

Motorbike sized lettering is allowed on a car if it's :

an import
AND
a std plate wont fit.

Nothing else.

That's the law, but I doubt if you'll get pulled.

Apparently not.

It's also a grey area if JDM cars are allowed if there is an exact model equivalent. The JDM S2000 though has a diff engine code, so it's not an exact match

But how would a copper know your car was an import or not?

Speaking to my MOT bloke, who didn't pay any attention to whether mine is an import or not, he said that if the car is Pre-02 a 3/4 sized plate is legal.
