Post PBAB on April 18th

Hey everyone! I felt it was time for me to host my fist meet. So here goes . . .

When:
April 18th . . . Should have good weather by then . . .
From 12:00 noon to whenever . . .

Where:
############

The best way to contact me is through a PM if you have any questions.

I've got plenty of space for cars in the driveway to be parked side by side and possibly even three across on the apron. Might even be able to temporarily use the vacant driveway across the street. (there isn't a house there anymore)

In back there is a full patio in a wooded area with a fire-pit for roasting hotdogs or making smores. Lots of places to sit and a couple tables for food and drinks. I have a gas grill (don't know if it works) and a good charcoal webber grill for other goodies like burgers and brats/sausages.

If it rains, we have a rec-room in the basement with a few games, and I can have the crummy garage cleared out for sitting around outside or the back porch can be a decent hangout.

For those of you who are too partied out to make the drive home, I have two guest bedrooms available and LOTS of floor space. Couch cushions can be used, but I apologize that the couches themselves cannot (not my house, not my rules). I can however also lend sleeping mats, blankets, and pillows.

For things to bring, obviously yourselves/spouses/GFs in a good mood. I can take care of the beer and alcohol, and other drinks. I'll also get the stuff for smores if people are interested in that sort of thing.

I'll need help with burgers, brats sausages, chips, dips, ect. . . .

Now, obviously due to recent events I would urge everyone to have their tops up and doors locked when not attending their car. I would urge you to have your top up anyway due the heavy bird population in my area.

The more the merrier!! C'mon PEOPLE! Let's make this a great event!

I'm a solid maybe. Depends on school and size of the event, most likely. I *do* want to see your new wheels and front brakes.

Thumbs up

Paul I would like to stop by,but will we be able to work on our cars?
I do so enjoy BEING (working) under other peoples cars as opposed to being IN other peoples cars.

Since this is the very first meet that I've ever hosted, coordinating with people who could act as "supervisors" and to call this a tech-day would be a bit of a stretch. Is it dooable? Sure. But I think I would have had to start planing this a bit farther in advance than just posting it up.

And to have a tech-day RIGHT after having one a month before seems a little repetitious. How many people need to have their oil changed again in a month?

If enough people want it, then I could shoot for some pointers from the veterans to help make it happen, but otherwise I'd say it's a little late to throw that into the mix.

Also, the way the property/driveway is situated and the extra room required to work on the vehicles, it just doesn't seem like a wise decision at this time.

For now the meet is just a have a really good time with friends, talk cars . . .

We could always do a short cruise over to Kopps Custard (the old "Happy Days" place) just a few miles away too.
