Bizarre find.....need help!
So my CEL has been on for a while now and I finally had time to check it out. Took it to Schucks to pull the code and got P0113, which is the Intake Air Temperature Circuit High Input. Figured it was an easy fix, so went home and started checking all the connection to make sure it wasn't loose or anything. As I started looking further and more closely, I notice that some of the wires had chew marks on them and some of the wires were exposed. Kept looking around I noticed that one of wire was actually chewed off
and on the driver side of the engine bay I noticed that there was a pile of crap (see pic below) and pieces of some sort of bones laying around in the back towards the firewall. FREAKIN RAT somehow got into my engine bay and did some damage
Now the wire that was chewed off was connected to a connector that I believe plugs into the IAT sensor (see pic) So here are my questions:
1. Could that possibly be the cause of the CEL and not the actualy IAT sensor?
2. How difficult would it be to repair the damaged wire?
3. Is it safe to drive?
Any help/ suggestion is greatly appreciated! TIA
Noticed the red wire is disconnected.

Here's the CRAP!

You have been driving like this for how long now?
I guess the damage has already been done, and you can drive it until you carry your lazy ass to a shop so they fix 'er up in about 15 minutes, after a 2 hour wait.
Next time you get a cel, get it checked out before a nest is built.

from the looks of it, u can just get a wire and solder it to both ends that were suppose to meet and retape it. very quick and easy but thats from just looking at the picture.

BTW I reconnected the 2 wires and ECU has been reset and CEL is now off. Drove the car around for a lil bit and seems to be fine no CEL. I'll see what happens from here.
