Sadlers has turned out to be a very expensive proposition if you want to reserve the track. Us folks planning and organizing the meet have decided to make an executive decision, and we are not going to reserve the track. Instead, we will more or less just show up at Sadlers at noon on the 17th and take the track by force. What we are wanting to know, however, is who is definitely interested in participating with us. You will get a total of 20 minutes of track time, and it will cost between $30-40. Please post to this thread and indicate whether or not you would be up for it, and I will bold your name and add it to my original post that started this thread. Thanks.

Do we know what time this event will happen? People will be leaving to go home that day and the time may influence participation?

 

Sadlers opens at 12 pm. I was planning on reserving the track then, grabbing lunch afterwards...then we can part ways if so desired.

Agreed. I'll be willing to go just about any day. I'm out of town now, but I'll be home tomorrow night. I'll probably see if newsman wants to go sometime next week. I'd like to get some time in at the track before actually racing, as I've never done it before. Hit me up if anyone wants to go.


Also, I recently bought a '01 s2k and when I down shift or let off the gas I get a really bad rattle from 3k-4k rpm. Does anyone know what this is and how to fix it? It sounds to me like a heat shield.

 

Sounds like clutch buzz. It's common in MY00-MY01s. See TSB 00-054.

I will be posted a definite price early next week. I have had very little response to this thread, and I am concerned that we will not be able to have Sadlers as a part of the festivities due to a lack of interest shown and not being able to reserve the track.

 

Can you post a list of interested people or total of interested so that we can see if the number is attainable or not?

I would be in interested, but how much $? I know your price is dependent on people, but give me a range - 15 people = $xx, 25 People = $xx.

I am sure that a friend of mine would be in...
