Default Official S2KI Training / Weight loss thread.

Since my bowflex thread has seemed to inspire some others to start back up, lets use this thread to track our success and keep each other motivated. We'll start up with a weigh in and and simple stats. Think both long term and short term. I will post my long term goals rather than short.

If you find something that works better than others for diet and excersises feel free to share.

I'll start:
Weight= 218
Height= 6'
BMI = 29.6 (http://www.nhlbisupport.com/bmi/)
% body fat = 29.08 (http://www.livestrong.com/tools/body-fat-calculator/)

Goals:
Weight= 175 - 180
BMI= 20-22
% body fat= 15% or lower

You've really inspired me bud. Especially last night we're chilling out with another couple, drinking brews in the front yard while the kids were all playing. Another neighbor that was running the streets when I was running and taking better care of myself last year, ran by looking sharp. The ladies definitely noticed him...that's it, I'm starting at 5:20 a.m. Monday like I used to!!! Thank you, Shay

Current:
Weight= 164
Height= 5' 9"
BMI = 24.2
% body fat = 13.8

Goals:
Weight= 160ish
BMI= 20-22
% body fat = 11 - 12

As noted before, I'm lucky to have kept most of my old weight off despite not consistently working out. Basically I just need to get the old heart rate up again and tone, tone, tone. I have what we call the "Gator Workout" which was the routine for the linebackers and tight ends about 20 years ago. My brother-in-law was an LB in H.S. and went on to play a bit for Louisville before injury prevented further play thus how we got the routine (he did a camp at UF in H.S.).

Anyway, it's a 4-day/week, 6-week cycle that hits all body parts. Takes about 20-25 minutes if you do it as instructed (no rest between sets pretty much). Depending on the week you're either doing a combo of high reps-low sets to low reps-high sets so it covers all the bases if someone wants a copy shoot me a PM with your email address and I'll get it over ASAP.

Hell pst it here for all to see. Sounds good, I'm going to stick to the "Bowflex plan" for at least the first week with the exception of doing it 5 days instead of 3 just to get myself up and running then I'm gonna hit it all hard and heavy. Once in the am and again before bed.

Can I rename this: S2ki Biggest Loser?

Good luck guys...

For added incentive...this may be the cheapest weight reduction you can do to your car.

Getting ready to email the Gator workout over to Sorta since I can't figure out how to post. Imagine that. Got up at 5:30, walked/ran for about 37 minutes (nearly all of that was walking btw) and then did Week 1/Monday of the Gator workout minus the shoulder exercise since I'm still having issues there. Whew!

Started 6 months ago. Not sure on my BMI or % of body fat but i weighed 200lbs and had a 36 inch waist

Current:

Age=33
Waist=32
Weight=185-188
BMI=25%
% body fat= 14.5%

My goals are to get down to 10% body fat. My BMI has been increasing since i have been putting size on. I was down to 180lbs at one point. I'm going to continue to work out 5-6 days a week and mostly watch my diet. The last part of fat is extemely hard to get off so i might start doing cardio twice a day

Sorta - did you get my email with the Gator workout schedules? Let me know if I need to resend. Thanks for your help.

Good luck all. 2nd day here. Gator and cardio Monday. Gator this morning. Cardio only Wednesday. Thursday Gator only. Friday both again. I'll be glad when this is a habit again. Worked until about 10:15 last night and back up for all of this about 5:30. I'm feeling my age today. : )

I have been doing stairmaster at the gym. 20 minutes burned 300 calories=1200hr and climbed 115 floors. This i have found to be the most intense 20 minute exersise yet. You sweat alot and 300 calories is good for 20 minutes. I do level 10 to start and peak at level 12
