NJMP Karting Meet
UPDATE:
SCHEDULE PLEASE READ
I called up NJMP and reserved a spot for 9:30am on Sunday, June 7th - this means people should be at the track at 9:00am to get the race brief out of the way if we are to start racing at 9:30. A mini grand prix typically takes about three hours, I was told - but that does not mean that one group will have to wait three hours until the other group is finished - the lady I spoke with said that groups can run one after the other - but combined total, including the class and brief, should be around three hours. The groups will be of fourteen racers each. If I understood correctly, the total amount of time for 50 or so people will be around six hours of racing - so it's almost like a mini track day. Not bad for $80.
As I understand it, however, racers can show up and race anytime, they will just be with random people who show up.

Thanks for posting. A few members have expressed interest in the mini GP already followed by a night in AC being that we're going to be down there anyway.
Poker is not my forte. But if there is interest, let's set this up!

Hey Everyone,
I just realized (thanks to a post in another threat) that New Jersey Motorsports Park in Millville, NJ has opened up a full outdoor karting track with karts that can reach 55mph. The prices are reasonable, and you get 15 laps on the track for $25. If there is interest, I would call up and try to get a group rate. I wanted to set up a mega-meet with both LI and NJ to just bury the hatchet and hopefully find some common ground. I was thinking that a Sunday either at the end of May or beginning of June would be a great time to go. I know it's a bit far for some people (it is about as far as Atlantic City) but if we make it a whole day affair with a lunch plus karting, it can be a very nice meet.
Karting has seemed to get stale at V-17, but this is outdoor with pretty quick carts, for around the same price as V-17 and New York Grand Prix.

I just wanted to throw this out there - please let me know if you guys are interested! I'd love to hear comments and suggestions.
