Wow! I'm very happy with the K/N Aircharger! It didn't gain 8-10 Hp! But it did gain some Hp (4.6 Hp more than my Stock reading) and lost the weight of the OEM Air box!

I did the Dyno on my S2000 Stock first, and then did one with the OEM Air box lid off. And finally did the Dyno on the K/N AirCharger installed.

Wow! I didn't know how LOUD it was without the OEM lid! It actually hurts my ear! The K/N AirCharger System is also louder than the stock unit, but much quiter than the lid off!

I don't have my scanner hooked up, so, I took pictures with my Digital camera. Hope that will come out alright? Notice the K/N gained most of the power and torque in the mid-range, and the curve never went lower than the stock curve! I'm very happy with it! And this is great for my driving on the track! I really needed the mid range and Hopefully get some Low-end power some how!

Also did a final run with the hood closed. I quess there isn't enough air flow (sitting still) and the hot air is trapped under the engine compartment. the reading on the Dyno was abut 1 Hp lost! (@203.4 Hp)

Without OEM lid Hp: 197.3
Without lid Torque: 132.5

Stock Wheel Hp is : 199.8
Stock Torque is: 134.4

K/N System Hp is: 204.4
K/N system Torque: 141.0

This first photo of the Dyno is shown in Speed and Hp! Some how the curves were breaking out at high RPM range. this is a smoother curves.

This photo shows the Hp and Torque curve of the Stock System (baseline) and K/N System!

This photo shows lost of power on the OEM Lid-off Dyno vs. Stock with lid on!

Here is pictures of the K/N Aircharger! Sorry about the mess of the hoses and wiring, I was in the hurry to get everything installed while my car was still strapped and hooked up to the Dyno!

BTW, The Dyno was run on the fourth gear! Notice the Speed on one of the Hp Chart. And it was about 10 in the morning. I guess is around upper 70 degree?? But Humidity was high!

If you don't mind my asking. How much is this? Got it right off the K&N site?

$277 total including shipping! Can't remember which store online? Yes! You can go to the K&N website and search for the vendor. Check around and shop for the best price; at the time that was the best price.
NOPI was one of their retailer, but When I went to the local NOPI, they didn't have any info on the AirCharger. So, I ordered online.

Thanks for posting that. You can't argue with those results, I really like the fact that you did the before and after dyno right within minutes of each other.

Quite often first runs are a little more HP because of the cooler engine temps. so this is definitely impressive for a simple air intake change. Thanks for doing this test for us.

Very Good Grasshopper! Pretty impressive considering the humidity and the temp.
Good Job!

I have the K&N FIPK on my Grand Cherokee. The difference in throttle response is amazing. There was a bit of a hesitation between stepping on the accelerator and response with the stock airbox; it is instantaneous with the FIPK. They claim a 24 hp increase to the V-8 on my Jeep.....I don't know if I buy 24, but it IS noticeable!

Does the use of a K&N air intake system void warranties, whether from the manufacturer or third parties?
