Default ASM 70mm Single Exhaust -08 + ASM Header -07 Dyno

We just dyno tested the ASM 70mm Single Stainless Exhaust -08 and ASM Exhaust Manifold -07. All the runs were performed back to back within minutes of each other on the same dyno and same car at Church Automotive Testing in Southern California. The test car was 100% stock, OEM Cat, OEM intake, no engine mods, not even a radiator cap; as stock as it rolled off the assembly line. 4-5 passes were performed for each configuration and the median plot was used.

Results:
ASM 70mm Single Exhaust + ASM Exhaust Manifold -07 combo = 18.5 HP / 15.4 lb-ft Gain @ 6200rpm
ASM 70mm Exhaust alone (OEM Header) = 14 HP / 12.6 lb-ft Gain @ 5600 rpm

Not bad considering the ASM 70mm Single Exhaust is by far the quietest and most refined sounding exhaust available for the S2000 at the moment.

Baseline vs ASM 70mm Single Exhaust + ASM Exhaust Manifold -07

Does this mean, this exhaust gain more than the J's Racing 70RR exhaust?? 70rr usually gain around +15hp... that's without cat... ASM without cat will probably be another 5hp ??

210 HP @ peak is pretty average for a completely stock AP1 S2000 on that particular dyno. Some may even say that's on the high side but it's the delta that's we were most concerned with. There were other baseline pulls that were even lower but those were tossed out.

That wouldn't be a fair comparison but the ASM exhaust alone gained 14hp @ 5700rpm and 11.5 @ 8200rpm so it's very close to the J's 70RR but keep in mind the 70RR is a non-resonated 70mm system so it's EXTREMELY loud compared to ASM. The J's 70RS would be a better comparison which is still louder than the ASM.

Damn those are great gains. I bet the header gains would be better with a HFC or test pipe. I really wish I could afford the exhaust
