what did you guys do for the oil cooler, where did u guys get the sandwich adapter? oil line length, pics, anything would help, no overheating issues for canyon drivings, but for summer track days i would like to p lay it safe.
You may want to do some research on the web, when I was planning the same there was no one using a thermostat. Unfortunately, I could not find anyone that had the information on sizing one either. To do this correctly you will need to know flow rates, temperature in and out and look at the total system pressure drop. The most promising cooler I had seen was PWR
no, i 've done my research, and chris lum chimed in before to my post, i never created a thread about it tho. he showd me i believe was c-west used the 4 outlet adaptor, but i don't think it is for sale tho. tommy go tuning unlimited had an oil cooler to his greddy tubo kit, so i was wondering if he can post up some pics or give out some info.
Just to add my 2 cents, back when I had my Greddy turbo, I also had the greddy oil cooler. I went with it specifically because I assumed they would play nice together, which they did. Granted, it was stupid expensive relative to most other oil cooler setups. But hey, it was pretty blue.
I'd also like to add that even with the oil cooler and pretty much every other cooling mod you can think of, I was still hitting oil temps in the 260 F range after 2 laps of a small road course. I'd then have to do a cooldown lap or two before getting back on it. I don't really know what a safe oil temp is for hard driving but I wasn't comfortable with that number. Maybe it was fine and I'm a sissy. I have a feeling it would have easily gone much higher if I stayed on it.
Typical non-racing temps were in the 210-215 range after it got all warmed up.

Great info, this goes to show how important that it is to size properly

right, this is wat i was talking about. how did you put your oil cooler + the relocation kit of the greddy turbo, any picture? the part you used? line? etc? greddy got a NA setup oilcooler... not with the turbo kit, how did u make it to work.
tommy doesn't check this forum often i don't think, unless you pm him. i believe he just stacked the filter adapter that came w/ the oil cooler onto the turbo kit oil filter adapter.
the method i recommend is to use a 4 way fitting adapter like so:
Its not the best picture but you might be able to get the idea.
This is just using the stock greddy turbo filter adapter and the adapter that came with the greddy oil cooler. They worked together with no additional parts required.
My goal was to put an oil temp sensor on both the in and out lines of the cooler because I wanted to know how much it really did. I'm still trying to find an adapter I can put in line there that will accept the temp sensors. I like data.
