Default PLEASE HELP with RIM Decision

I am in the market to replace my current rims as seen below. I like the general style of the rims I have but the offsets are off and that bothers me. I'm not rubbing but the tires to stick out a bit. I've read many threads on the various rims, etc. for the s2k and I'm still at a bit of a loss. I'm leaning towards either the Work s2r's or the Volk GT-N's. Currently I'm running 17's but would consider 18's.

It seems from my reading that what type of driver I am also matters quite a bit so here we go. I'm a daily driver M-F. The car rarely makes it out of the garage on the weekends other than to get washed, etc. I became a dad 10 months after getting the car. Damn the car works! hahaha Anyway, I drive on average a 1,000/month through the streets of Jacksonville and the surrounding areas. Rarely does the car make it out of the city limits anymore. I get on it from time to time but overall I'm considered a "grandma driver." I bought the car because I wanted a sporty convertible and it's a Honda. Kicking butt happens to be a perk and I love taking out the occassional tuner that thinks he can take me to the next light. That happens about once a month at most though.

I have NO PLANS to lower the car or any other related work. Just the rims and tires. Any other mods will be strickly cosmetic, audio, etc.

So, if you would PLEASE let me know what you think is the most appropriate rim (and even tire size!) for my car I would greatly appreciate it. Thank all of you for your input in advance.

thx chrisho Always nice to hear

What do you guys think about the work meister s2r's? I'm leaning towards those at the moment. Trying to work out a deal as I type. This site has been an immense help in getting answers to all of my questions. There are some great people on this board. Great companys too!

I fell in love with S2R's as well. In short if your going for my style then performance, the S2R's are the way to go as they weigh roughly 20lbs per wheel (18's). If your going for equal style and performance then Emotions are the way to go, they are rough 3 lbs lighter per wheel.

Good luck and post a pic with them once you get them

What about the Volk CE28's?
They come in the perfect offset and are very light. 17" are 14 pounds!!!

Currently, I'm using Meguiars but just ordered the Zaino kit yesterday. The Meguiars does a great job and it cheap. Doesn't last long though. I keep the car garaged at home and work and it still only lasts about 3 weeks. Zaino is suppose to last much longer.

Re: the rims
I've worked out some stuff with the local tire company that screwed up my offsets. I'm getting some 17x7 and 17x8 Work Meister s2r thanks in part to ScienceofSpeed (Chris). I'll post pics once they come in. Hopefully by next week. I probably won't get to Zaino for a few weeks but will post results.

Thats sick! ( the black one)

There may be a trade off between looks and performance.
I am a little like you, I just putt around but when I want some get up and go I want it to be there.
I run 16 inch ( offset +42mm) Volk TE 37's that weigh 11.3 lbs each. Use my stock rubber. I will lighten my unsprung weight some more with Rick's brakes and Tein shocks. I do get a little more feedback through the steering wheel with +42 mm offset but it is well worth it.
