all good fun but as an ex owner/driver of a bone stock s800 i can tell you it was a bit of a dog.....it was twitchy[the trailing arm/chain-box rear suspension was most likely at fault] and REALLY had no low end...you had to buzz the shit out of it to get anything[not nearly as pleasant as my s2000 above 8000]...in contrast my old 997 mini cooper could eat the honda alive...about the same time a friend had a series 1 lotus 7 with a 850 BMC and it was way faster and better handling than either of the other two.....you may also note that most of the s-cars tested by the japanese magazines have been modified...[note the velocity stacks on the one photo and the fat rims on the other..trust me these things came with 3 1/2 rims and bias ply tires...not to mention a kremlinsque air filter.]

they did, however have the coolest steering wheel!!!!

very nice.... i personally like the Datsun 2000 roadster
from the late 60's. 2.0 liter with 150hp was huge for
that era. I think it did

Even still, I would love to have one of those in the garage to compliment the S2K. If only as a conversation piece.
