Default Soft top repair done cheap!

I had a little run in with a tree limb here at home and my top now has a near three inch vertical cut in it My top has never had any issues and is/was in near new condition before the mishap

I am going to try to buy some time on my top (for $16.00) using a repair kit made by Permatex and some of the PuddyMom

my hole was pretty big and i tried to start patching it on the ends and it kept ripping more. i finally started from the middle and it was just fine, so if the hole is big and your top is kinda old start from the middle and work your way to the ends!

Puddydad, please keep this forum updated over time or I c ould very well pm u but I wanted to know how this patch holds up for you.

I myself have 4 similar tears in my top, one dating over a year ago. I hve kept them all patched since then and make it through many rainstorms, top up and down days and so far the worst time is the hot summer sun.

I personally use a different method, probably one that cannot be consistantly replicated such as yous but would like to compare differences.

If yours proves to stand up to FL weather, then I will defanantly make the switch.
