Default Kraftwerks SC with Laminova cooler

My 1st post - I have an 05 s2000 with you tune KW and 6psi. Dyno 320 hp/204tq @ 8600. last weekend @ Road Atlanta( 90 deg ambient) my oil(mobil 1) temps went to 260-262. Temps came down to 248 with short shifting @ 7500. Will the next size bigger laminova oil cooler keep it cooler ? Or will I also need a bigger radiator also?

I know there are lots of opinions of what is too high - I believe 260 is the limit with synthetic..

I appreciate any info, opinions or guesses. Thanks...

What radiator are you running? If stock, definitely upgrade your radiator! It'll bring your coolant temps down which in turn will bring down your oil temps (as the coolant is used to cool the oil).

I have stock radiator - but my water temps stay right at normal - that's why I'm hoping that maybe I can get by with just the next bigger size laminova.

How are you measuring oil temps?

The longer Laminova does fit.

The kit one is C43-180 (I'm guessing)
They make a C43-330
-10AN oil connection but not sure about coolant plugs (28mm?).

I found a $373:

I forget where I saved this from:

I'm not sure where the reading is being taken - It was installed for me.

I really like the idea of replacing my C43-180 ( u r correct ) with the C43-330. My guess is that this will make the radiator work a bit harder - but I believe it can handle it.

I love these Laminova's - they work great as oil coolers but are also water heaters.

thanks for the resources and pics ( looks like a after mkt radiator)...

Yup, that's Don's setup. I built it for him. It's a Visteon radiator (although any aftermarket dual core will work just fine). The Laminova was increased to the 330mm unit (largest).

I would not suggest increasing the Laminova size without also increasing the radiator size. Don drives all over the country and now has 58,000 miles on his KW kit so we have lots of data around temps.

Do you think the larger Laminova type would be sufficient for a turbo setup?

I've relocated my filter and lost the OEM oil cooling unit.
