Default Hit & Run

Some F**er did a hit and run on my car the other day in a parking lot. Was having lunch with a buddy and came out to find my driver's front fender caved in. Stayed in the parking lot for 20 mins looking for damaged vehicles that would match, but none! I have a MY08 indy yellow pearl. Insurance company is quoting 1800 dollars in total damage. 600 for new front fender and 120 for the fender liner. Worried b/c he says the body shop willl have to blend the fender with the driver's door panel. Is this necessary??? I have 2100 kms on the thing and picked it up winter 08.

Let them blend it. Find a good body shop, one that the high-end local dealerships use. It'll come back to you looking like new.

I usually park where I can see the car in plain view....

C-Kit,
That's what i was trying to do. I try to find corner spaces but, of course parking lot jammed packed. BTW, it was angle parking as well, which baffles me at how people can be so F-ing careless. Was hoping they'd just have to paint the fender by itslef.

I had the same thing happen in the middle of the day in the middle of a VERY busy groshery store (many people ALWAYS around) to my 87 CRX years ago. No one, no witness's (bull sheet on that, I bet 5 people saw it). They hit the car so hard it folded the rear quarter panels... $2000 damage.

Are there any security cameras around? Might want to check into that.

Nope. No Cameras! Never angle park beside a handicap reserved parking space. Lesson learned here.
