Since I had a MY2001 Spa Yellow and totaled it, and currently drives a MY2002 Sebring Silver; I have notice differences in handling! The MY2002 handels much better and doesn't tends to Oversteer as much as the MY2001 (That was how I smashed up my 2001 Spa in the rain! I lifted during the turn!).
I use this site and order stuff from them a lot for my CRX, because they are much cheaper than the local dealers! I go on this site and look at their online parts list with exploded views (Very nice! It helps to show how everything fits together!) all the time and notice that MY2002 model have different sway bars than the earlier models!

The MY2002 model gets smaller diameter bar than earlier models at Front!
see links and follow the # of parts down the list to see description:
MY2000-MY2001:
Front bar 28.2mm X T5.0
Rear bar 27.2mm X T5.3

MY2002:
Front bar 26.5mm X T4.5
Rear bar 27.2mm X T4.5

This is the first documentation that I've seen regarding suspension changes, and it is counter to what I would have expected. I installed a LARGER FSB for the purpose of taming the oversteer tendencies in my MY '00 car. Why don't you post this in the Racing and Competition forum and see what they think over there?

See you at AMS next month!

I expect you will find a different balance of spring rates. Often there is a preference to tune over/under steer with the springs and reserve the bars for controlling body roll. Ride and handling tuning is full of compromises and it appears Honda started over tuning the 2002.

I'm curious...

Anyone know if these different parts interchangable from the MY02 to the MY00 and 01?

If you say the handling was improved and doesn't tends to oversteer as much, then upgrading these to the MY02 parts would be benificial to earlier model owners...and potential used S2000 buyers.

I've yet to drive my '01 and a friend's '02 back to back at an autocross - but in a fun run last weekend when I drove his car, it seemed better planted and more confidence inspiring...

People that are curious about how the '02 model handles should drive one and decide for themselves if they like the feel better.

Hum.............. I was just wondering if anyone with the 2002 model had already changed their anti-sway bars and coil-overs?? I would really think those setup are for the 00-01 models?? I wonder how it handles? Anyone?
