Anyone interested in having Dave Parker (w1ngman) come to Raleigh and clear some corners? cost is around $100 plus whatever diffuser choice you make.

There are numerous threads about this. He basically removes your bumper, takes apart your headlights and removes the amber diffuser. You have the choice of ordering a clear or smoked diffuser, leaving it "naked" or doing some other mod of your choice like the Mulder mod.

We will shoot for the weekend of Sept 5-6. Most people can meet at the triangle italians meet in the morning and join us later in the afternoon for a cookout lunch and hangout. I have PLENTY of room for outdoor activities and might be able to setup a "S2000 drive-in theater"

I am sure Dave will chime in here and add some info that i missed.
He can probably only do 5-7 in a weekend, so reserve your space and order your diffuser.

I'm deffinately down... I wanna go either naked or mulderized. Cheap way out lol but I think they both look better than cleared or smoked

 

I may be interested... (I know...I know, I already have clear corners...) ...but I've been thinking the Insight would look MUCH better with those blue projectors black...and maybe those ambers smoked...

Folks, as Dave indicated in his initial post, I'm offering to clear your corners for $100 per car. This is some 'NC-love' as I normally charge $135 per clearing. But I appreciate we're in a tight economy, and want to make this a mod folks can afford to enjoy! So...$100 per car it is. And that'd be cash thank-you-very-much (edit: errrm Insights will need to cost substantially more <-- insert gratuitous : stick : smiley just for my buddy Raul! )

• Mulderized - If you are a committed participant wanting 'Mulderized' diffusers, send me a PM with your address. I will ship you a nice shiny amber pair of diffusers in advance of our scheduled weekend...so that you can prep/paint them before your scheduled appointment. Then during your conversion, I'll keep the ambers that I remove from your headlamps (as a 'core swap'). I'll ask that you reimburse me for shipping...but that should be well under $5, and you can pay that when you pay me for the conversion.

Oh...a couple more things of note. For those that haven't met me... I am Rick Hesel's conversion specialist. And about two years ago now I reckon, I stopped trying to keep count on how many headlamps I've converted. But back then...it was over 400 pair. And every customer has been 100% satisfied with my work over the years.

Also...although Rick's only offers diffuser selections for AP1s, please don't consider that to mean that AP2s are to be left out in the cold. I have removed the amber reflectors/diffusers in quite a few AP2s now as well. And with very nice results, as noted in this short >> AP2 testimonial thread <<

I baked mine myself to remove my diffusers and it was a PITA, i would rather pay $100 to have someone else do it anyday! If you guys want the cleared look, this is a great time to do it as you will not find it cheaper.
