Default 2002 Z06 Vs 97 NSX

I'm just thinking if I want to sell my s2000 to get a different car, that's only 2 cars I would like to own. 97 and up NSX (290hp and 6sp) or 2002 z06 (405hp).

I don't think I will get a new z06 since I can get very good deals in any used car.

I want to know what you guys think of that.

The Z06 will rape an NSX in a straight line, but your car will be falling apart at 80K miles. Its all your personal preference.

My friend has a stock c5 and and he said he tore an NSX up last weekend. I don't know anything about the NSX though. It could have been to-up. I would put all my money on a Z06. All 10$ of it.

i know z06 is much faster than an NSX, but I need to know the overall view (like, reliablity, handling, style, finish, etc).

Thanks guys.

Read my threads in the "Comparative Advantage of NSX" and you'll get a good overview. I've never owned an NSX, but my Dad had two and they are truly amazing cars all around. If you want to go fast in a straight line, get the Z06. If you want a car that is nearly as quick, but lasts way longer with far better engineering (as a whole package), get the NSX. Also, the NSX is easier to drive, period (race track use not considered). It's also more rare and more exotic.

I voted for NSX, because yea zo6 is faster in a straight line but put some mods in the NSX and go. Also I think they look better, will last longer, and are more rare than a vette. (even the zo6)

PS - IS it an NSX-T, because you still gotta blow your hair in the wind.

it will rape a NSX in a straight line and through corners on a race track or auto-x. The Z06 is the all around faster car in every category. It would take at least 10k or more in mods to make the NSX run with a Z06, but with that 10k spent on a Z06....well you know how that would end up. As far as it falling apart at 80k miles...give me a break. It has only been out since 2001 so how can you make a statement like that? Because it is an american car? Try to be a little less biased and judgmental. The C5 platform is a very well designed car and with minimal maitenance should give you trouble free driving for many years. The only thing the NSX really has over a Z06 is that feels smaller, even though it does weigh more. Go out and drive both and see what you think.
