September 5th Raleigh Meet
Hello All, man Labor Day weekend already. We are going to do some interesting things this month. First off we will be getting together with the Triangle Italians at Camilles Cafe http://www.camillessidewalkcafe.com/index.html. It starts at 9:00 am and goes until around 10:30. If you haven't been out to this you will definitely see some cars that you will not see anywhere else. We will then do some lunch at Carolina Ale House http://www.carolinaalehouse.com/locations.html. We should be here until 12:00 or so.
After lunch we will be doing a drive over to HKStallions place for a corner clearing and GTG and maybe a drive-in movie. Here is a link if you are interested https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=720654.
Everyone is welcome to all or whatever parts you would like.
If you can make it out please post up.
Thanks.
Kevin

Damn Karl, NE....that's a long way for an autox. Good luck. Let us know how you make out.

A lot of folks think the CR is the "it car" in AS these days, and they might be right. A CR won last year on stock shocks. But in AS trim, a lot of the stuff that makes a CR a CR gets thrown away anyway; and the weight difference is more like 50lb, rather than 90.
Both of my codrivers stand a good chance of doing very well in the car this year; Eric already did so last year. We'll be dragging it out to Lincoln on the trailer with $1200 worth of brand new Hoosiers on it, our third set this year.
A new driver side fender liner, new front rotors, and a pocket full of fender liner clips, and we should be in as good a position as anyone else in an AP2 to do really well. Eric proved last year that the car has a championship in it if one of us drives well enough.Still, though...20 hours one way is a long way to go to autocross. I won't have a laptop with me, but will try and post updates through my iPhone. We run Thursday/Friday. Lots of other s2ki'ers are making the trip as well.
