Question Got Gas?

I was wondering how much does our gas tanks hold and yes i have read manual.

here's the story. and please dont make fun, well i know this is dumb but dont make fun of me too bad. i was spending the weekend at my parents' house. i left my place with less than half a tank and i thought that should last me for the weekend. i didnt want to get gas near their place b/c one it's kind ghetto and it's more expensive. so i came home. i didn't realize how much i drove around when i was home. on sunday night, i had only 2 bars left on my gauge (gas). and i thought hum, i made it back to my place before with the yellow light on and it's only 30ish miles. so i drove and sure enough the gas light came on. so i drove and drove. until i got to my town and i stopped to get gas. i knew i was going to get alot of gas but i thought it would be in the 12.9. but i'll let this picture tell you.

so just curious, how much does our gas tank hold? was i about to be stranded in the middle of the high way???

thats interesting..

Ive got 2 stories actually.

1. I actually ran out of gas completely, car stalled and everything, i was going about 40 when it happened so first i tried to turn it back on, it turned on, and then when it tried to rev back up, it died again, so i just threw it in neutral, and luckily i was about 1/10th a mile from a gas station, so i filled up, and I only filled up 12.6 gallons

2. This one happened tonight, I was coming back to Norman from the DFW area, started with about 3/4s a tank, I usually get about 260 miles to a tank on the freeway only (go to houston from dfw alot) and that was before my 4.77s, now I have 4.77s and when i stopped for gas (first shell i ran across) I had 285 miles clocked This place didnt have the "zero ethanol" so i just put in 5 bucks, I managed to get 2 gallons, and when I turned the car back on, i still had 0 bars on the gas gauge! (ive got an AP1, so not as many bars as the AP2s)

Maybe the pump is wrong and it charged you more than what you really got.

Even when I'm almost out of gas, I fill up around the mid-12's.

I ran it all the way down till there were no bars left on the gas gauge and think it was around 12.2 gals when I filled up

The pulsar reading on the pump needs to get calibrated more than likely
