Default Strut Braces...

Does the s2k really need strut braces to improve the handling or do they have any other purpose and make any difference..???

Hmm... I'm just wondering if this might have been raised before

The S doesn't have struts.
I don't think it made any difference. Others say it did.

There are more posts on this than you can shake a stick at.

They do look blingy though

Yes but then I'm biased because it means you can get pics like this!

Seriously the front top brace is the least effective on the S

IMO Its more the feel of the car you gain i.e knowing what its doing/heightened sense/breakaway etc

But it does help the handling too in a sense.

Really... i would of thought that it would reduce roll and increase chassis stiffness. But the stiffness could lead to fast driven B roads to become skitish.

However it would increasing resistance to break away on smooth surfaces. But the extra body control would be at the cost of a more dramatic break away once the point of traction is breached.

when you start bracing the underside.
It was undriveable on B roads. ( I braced everything )

But the front upper doesn't doesn't do much. Have a look at all that iron mongery in front of the engine.

But again it really does look nice especially in carbon fibre.

Chris told me that the flex in the S chassis is all at the botton of the suspension. So i guess your right Gas. If its not really going to stiffen up the car then it cant have a negative effect. Bing tastic!
