Default 2009 Winter Detail Day

.................................................. ..........
................2009 Winter "Spitshine" Detail Day!

When: Saturday, October 10, 2009

Time: 8am till ??

Where: Amy's Place...naturally (address will be emailed out a few days prior)

Why: Clean cars....naturally

Who: Current S2ki-OR S2000 owners and +1s......naturally!

It's time yet again to freshen up our cars after months of long drives to out of the way places where we keep finding bugs, road grime, dust and dirt. Get it protected and ready for the wet rainy months ahead.

We are changing up how we handle the detail day this year. There will be a small fee to attend. This fee is to cover the increased cost to Amy for supplying power/water, and to cover your lunch/drink that will be provided. If you are able/willing to bring detailing supplies, let us know what so we dont double-up on products too much...it's hard fitting all that stuff in our huge trunks!

To attend: $5.00 per car
-and-
To eat: $5.00 per person

Who's In? 13!

Since many of the group are pretty skilled in the basics of detailing a car, we are going to set up workstations and people will be free to *sign up* for any station they wish to use. Don't worry, we have plenty of wash and wax wackos on hand to assist if you need it!

... Garage - 2 spots -Interior detailing: Carpets, Leather, Dash, Glass
... Driveway in front of the garage - 2 spots - Exhaust and metal cleaning/polishing
... Gravel in front of garage - 2 spots - Tires, Wheels and Wheel wells
... Grass/Tent - 1 spot - Washing/Claybar
... Grass- many spots - Waiting area/Top maintenance (ShinEtsu grease on seals, 303/Raggtop on top)
... Shop - 2 spots - Polishing/Waxing

Polishing/waxing will be a limited affair due to time. We are looking into selecting 1 or 2 cars that are in sad shape to have the experts work on to restore back to a glistening beauty!

If you are planning to join the event, please confirm your attendance AND what you will be bringing.

Hope to see you there!

Which length are you guys doing?

It sounds like fun. I need to get a road bike and get back into decent riding shape before I tackle anything like this.

Have fun!
