Default Alpine Imprint Meet - 27th Sept

For those attending.

PaulF and I will be doing the Towcester run first.

unclefester, are you going to meet us at Jack's Hill for brekkie? If not can you pm us the address please?

I guess we'll leave there around 9.30 or so and get to unclefester's at 10ish.

Each Imprint run can take up to an hour, depending on how many measurements we wish to take, so it'd be good to decide a running order (perhaps PaulF first, then PaperLawyer, then unclefester). If someone wants to experiment with a roof up and roof down setup, then that will take longer.

10am: PaulF
11am: PaperLawyer
12noon: unclefester

Does anyone have a battery charger thing? If not, as long as we have some jump leads, we should be ok.

Does anyone own a camera tripod, it'd be useful, if not, I'll bring my drumstool/blutack version

unclefester, we'll need power to run my laptop please.

If everyone could let me know what setup they have in terms of amplification/speakers, that'd be useful.
For example, I have bi-amped components with passive crossover in place, and a subwoofer with low pass filter on the separate amplifier.

Before we begin:
Remember to set your Bass, Treble, Balance and Fader controls to zero values.

If you have a subwoofer, either turn the amp low pass filter off, or set it to the highest value. Do something similar if you have a bi-amped setup on the components too.

Turn off the fan and air conditioning.

I think that's everything.

I'll be at Breakfast but not at Rickmansworth

Power is not a problem for the laptop and i've got jumpleads at the house too.

Right now i'm running components via proper crossovers off the 9887. I don't think i'll have the box for the sub built in time etc etc.

It may transpire that we spend more time on the other cars and i just make tea etc - eitherway we're still on,

My setup is more simplified than it was 12 months. As stated in my sig, it is a simple 2 channel amp/comp front speaker set up. Should be straightforward.....

I have an Optimate but it is really just a motorbike battery conditioner and won't be up to the task required (based on my own experience in a similar situation).

Bring it anyway, it may help a bit. We've always got jump leads if there's a problem.

Ok, here are the measurement curves

Mine (from a while ago). I have a subwoofer and bi-amped Alpine components

Next up, PaulF who has only upgreaded the head unit

and Paper Lawyer with his Genesis amp and Boston Components

we then tried to see if we could load up a "roof open" and "roof closed" setting for unclefester's car. Sadly this didn't work, but here are the two sets of measurements

Roof open

and roof closed

I've posted a new thread in the electronics forum, as it's probably more suitable for discussion there https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=733733

Simon, just back after spending many hours trying to sort out parents' home network issues. Enjoyed the revised ICE settings all the way back though Apologies for scampering so quickly - I owe you a few stodgy pies at the next track day
