Hopefully I'll have a chance to get my BSK and Baffled Oil Pan installed by this event. Also, my alignment won't stay in place (steering wheel keeps going off-center after each alignment after a track day) ... I suspect maybe a loose steering rack?

Nam, I had alot of squeak noises during low speed turns (although it was holding alignment ok). Turns out mine was a loose steering rack.

Have someone turn the wheel lock to lock and sight down from above with a flash light...if it's loose, you'll either see the housing move a little or get the squeak noise as it goes thru it's motion.

Thanks, I'll try it out, but I am an idiot when it comes to car stuff, so I don't even know what a steering rack looks like. William said it might also be worn alignment bolts...

Yup! See the other thread on the discussion regarding rules for next year. Think about where you want to compete ahead of time so you have a decently competitive car. I have to say, participating in the S2KC was probably the most fun I've had with a car, made some good friends, and it dramatically improved my driving skills.
