OK looks like they reschduled the MIR Battle of the Imports to this coming Sunday 7/28

I've set this whole weekend aside. No more work this weekend.

If enough of us go I could bring a tent to setup since its do damn hot now...

Hmm, a good enough ass to come and see.

I may possibly be going to this, but I am trying to go on Friday night to run for fun.
I don't know if I can take my self going there twice.

I will let you know what I decide to do.

I saw 1 silver s2k in the show section at MIR.. didnt know who the owner was..

Sunday not many people raced. I guess when they charge $60 to race thats what happens!

Good part was that all day I got to run my car on the 1/4 mile as much as I wanted.

Boy was it hot! It was 95 to 100 deg the whole day. My best time in the M coupe was 13.6 which is a pretty bad time for this car. I would either shoot down the track spinning all through first or bog. Whoever i raced would start out ahead of me but I would usually pass them in 2nd gear when I got traction.

I was running the second or third lowest time in my class. The guy turning in the best times was running a 400+ rwhp turbo Lexus IS300. He was running very low 13's. I think he may have hit 12.9 once...

I left around 2 pm.. It was way too hot and I didnt have a helmet to continue running (helmets are required if you are in the 13's).
