Following on from an idea for an S2000 paper calendar for the UK from Ianl, I have decided to put together, for my own use, a "Windows Wallpaper Calendar" with an S2000 theme. I'm going to do it both in 800x600 and 1024x768 sizes.

Obviously the Wallpaper pics will be .bmp images and therefore uncompressed, but here are two compressed .jpg images to show you what I'm up to - these are 800x600. Please note that the colour bleeding is due to the .jpeg compression I've used for speed of loading here; the Wallpaper .bmp versions do not have this problem

Pete

So, guys, I am looking both for

a. interesting images of the S2000
b. attractive landscape images with an S2000 somewhere in the scene.

It struck me that it would be nice to incorporate images from around the world, so if anyone has good quality images (minimum 1024x768) on the lines I've just described, I would be pleased to hear from you.

The best thing to do is to put the image you would like me to see into your own album here, on this forum, and then point me to it so I can go get it and download it.

If any other member wants the final 12 images to use on their own PC when they are ready, they can of course have them and I will post two sized sets of .bmp images for this purpose (either to my album here or on my own server). If there is the demand, I can also make versions of the images suit the public holidays of the U.S. Australia, etc - as well as the UK.

Pete

Many thanks for running with this Pete - your images are really stunning.

I will be properly back 'on the case' after Friday - busy, busy week.
Here are a couple of favourites of mine from SM1:

Would be nice if the UK calendar could feature UK locations.
Then the Australian one feature Aus. locations, etc. etc.

I'd probably be interested in one of each.

Great idea Pete,

I haven't got many photos yet but here's my contribution:

I particularly liked this one that MarkW took at Box Hill:

No disrepect Mark but it would probably have to be rescanned with a higher res scanner?

Mark I like the blossom and so this is a candidate for May.... but you'd need to do something better with the number plate

Pete

PS
I thought it would be a contribution to global S2ki unity to include pictures from all countries into the 12. Thinking on the fly here, I might even do more than one image for each month so that people can select their "May 2003" image from several options. Depends on the work involved and the time I have after SuperMeet2 is over and we run up to the year end

(Shitty scan - not a suggestion for the calendar)
