Thumbs up Hondata Reflash vs FlashPRO

Hey guys & Hondata,

Could anyone give me a break down of the differences between just getting a Hondata Reflash for an AP2 versus getting FlashPRO for an AP2? I'm looking to get a nice tune to my ECU but not experienced enough myself to do it yet. I read the reflash shoots for 16hp/14tq, what about FlashPRO? A breakdown of each in detail would be cool...

Thanks!

The Tuned calibration included with the FlashPro is a little bit better than the reflash. The gains in both are minimal, but as we all know, the S2000 is tuned very well from the factory.

This is a dyno of our S2000 with the stock map compared to the tuned file that comes with the FlashPro: There is a small increase in power at the top end of the rev range due mainly to the increase in rev limit.

Basically for a little more money than the reflash you have (a little) more performance and the ability to datalog and tune.

By comparison, this is the dyno chart from our web page describing the S2000 reflash which we made several years ago:

And if you upgrade to FI in the future, you're already set.

Why does the stock S2000 in the first dyno show almost 74 more hp & 21ft/lb of torque compared with the dyno from the original reflash?

The HP number reflects where the crosshairs are on the graph. The second graph really shows the maximum gain at the same RPM whereas the first graph shows peak power at the rev limit.

Cool, if I stay NA would a re-flash just do it for me? Right now my plans are just to stay I/H/E.

I think it's worth the extra little bit to go with the FlashPRO. In addition, you won't need to send your ECU out to the US.

No! for the money this is a no-brainer - get the flashpro and have fun. the reflash should be considered obsolete now that flashpro is available. keep in mind you don't have to mail your ecu to hondata with the flashpro - plug and play...

Flashpro=tune for your engine
Reflash=General Tune

I think that is the easiest way to describe it
