factory stability control on 06+
in the 06+ ap2's is the factory stability control part of the ecu or controlled by a seperate ECU?
Can hondata allow control of factory stability control. Say you would like more yaw angle before the VSC interupts? and / or is their a way to soften the abrubtness of the factory VSC, (ie lessoning the amount of time it takes throttle input away from you when vsc engages?
Thanks

You can sort of cheat--turn the wheel a little more than you want to and VSA will relax and let you rotate a bit more. Not the way you ideally do it, but if you want much more than that for headroom and control you just have to defeat the system and do it manually. It seems to be designed as a net for safety, not a competitive traction control system.
But in my experience, it's very rare for VSA to do anything but make rather subtle corrections. It's not even jerky in snow/slush/etc (on snow tires). It only jerks when I immediately go well beyond the limits of the tires, i.e. if I were to drop the clutch in 2nd while going around a corner near the limits.

Checking VSA box enables the ECU to VSA communication - it does not disable the VSA completely.
We recommend that people keep VSA enabled unless they have physically removed the VSA (which is part of the ABS). If you want to disable VSA, use the button on the dash.

interesting - how does vsa work when disabled? no throttle cut but still applies the brakes?
