I got my yellowbox unit from http://www.blackrobotics.com yesterday. I am installing it tonight. Cost was $100(shipped), got it in under a week from Australia!

Install seems simple enough, 1 power wire, 1 ground wire, and you cut the blue with white stripe speedo wire and patch 1 wire from the yellowbox to each end of the cut speedo wire.

For the S2000 you want the 3 wire "fine ratio" unit. It is adjustible from:
-28% to +28%

I have the J's Racing 4.44 final drive. That alone is an 8% correction, but you can use the unit to correct the % off from the factory(usually 3-5%) and also tire changes.

I'll post to this thread again tonight after I install and calibrate it. Starting with a 10% correction and I have a local radar source to test it with.(will also use mile markers).

It will be so nice to have the right speed showing and the correct mileage on the odo. I'm glad I didn't rack up a ton of miles before doing this. Randy1c it may be too late for you!

Hope this helps those out there looking to get the gears(and waiting because of speedo issues) and those who already have them.

If this works well for you, I think I may really consider getting the new final drive ratio. I've been hesitant to get it because of the errors. This unit also corrects the odometer error, correct?

I don't see why it wouldn't fix the odo. I will know for sure tonight!

I've done it, it does change both the speedo and the odo.

What did you notice in acceleration and roll on there at sea level,Sideways? I am wondering how short 2nd gear becomes with this ratio and how it changes real world 0-60.
