Default New intake

so i am never satisfied with my intakes. so i got another intake to mess around with. i put a heat wrap around it to insulate it. i made a umbrella from the rain and that was after my experiences in the rain. and a little mod to the bumper to allow more flow. i also went to polk to dyno and put down 214 corrected or something like 223 uncorrected. while i was one the dyno, a question popped into my mind, "what is the top speed of my ap2?" the fastest i've been was 150 down i-30 towards baseline.

Awesome! Good videos! When you get frustrated enough with all those intakes fix it with a turbo. I would say the AEM is going to give you the most outta any intake.

Cool vids Alan
When you say "new flash pro" you mean they have something newer than the reflash you already have ?

I know the feeling. I have had the aem, injen, arc, and the j's. The j's by far was my favorite but I believe the AEM had more power gains to offer. And from experience the supercharger is a convient and easy install since it can be bolted on and just go but the turbo is more efficient in every way.

andy: the i do not have the flash pro, i just have a reflash. the flash pro is the new ems for the MY06+ that only cost 700 or 600. and thanks for the cool comment.

icemans2k02: yeah i would go turbo, but the cost of going turbo in a MY06+ is way too costly, for a good setup for 350whp you will be looking at 8K ( 4K for the kit + 3K for AEM + 800 for the DBW harness + the tune). the kraftworks sc is only 5.5k. just saying. but the turbo would be more efficient but i am not that power hungry yet.

Hmm have you checked into it lately? The Greddy kit made for the AP2 is a shallow price when compared to that. I just know if I had to do it all again I would pass up the numerous intakes and go boost!!!

What happened to that K&N FIPK you had? I heard those were supposed to be pretty good.

Nice vids. Car sounds really good! 164 is super sweet! I may or may not have hit 142 on I-30 one day, but there is no proof and I will keep it that way.
