Okay...Update#2 12/11/09..They are going to sponsor some type of meet

I am meeting with them on Tuesday, preliminarily to set something up for one of the upcoming Saturdays. I'm thinking around Jan 2nd since Dec 26th I'm assuming many of us will be out of town. I will update on Tuesday evening.

Okay here's an updated for everyone.

I spoke with Hillsboro Honda.

** Preliminarily they are interested** in hosting us for a "large s2000 meet". They are going to go over details with management on Monday and get back to me so it can co-incide with our group buy on the filters.

They said they can also discount the regular oil filters to around the $5.78 mark and will get a final number when they get back to me.

They don't want to have a surplus of these oil filters on the shelves, since they *hopefully* will be hosting us, I would like to get pre payment from you guys for the filters prior to when this is, unless you are CERTAIN you will buy what you ordered and will be there to pick them up on the day specified.

I'll update you guys all as soon as I get more info. They said it would only take a couple days to get all the filters in. hello.gif

I am going to throw this out there and just see what everyone's response is.

I had to go buy an oil filter today, called all the dealers, etc. Dick Hannah, Beaverton, Ron Tonkin and Gladstone now charge $17.25 ea retail.

Wilsonville and Hillsboro Honda are about $5 less expensive.



The best price online is through H and A and with shipping, their 6 pack would come to $8.58ea.

Anyway, I went into Hillsboro Honda today and spoke with the parts manager, told him about the need we all had, and I was able to work out a group buy if there is interest. There is no time table for anything, but if we as a group, can commit to purchasing at least 20 filters, he said he would sell them for $8ea.

That was the first time I'd been back to the dealer since I had bought my car. Everyone came out to talk about it, it was a really nice experience.




Anyway, if anyone is interested, put your name down and how many you are interested in getting. I was thinking IF THERE IS ENOUGH INTEREST to do the group buy in about a month or around the 1st of January but I can adjust that if anyone would like
