Thumbs up Anyone powder coat their sc?

Well coating my sc housing next week. Most likely just doing gloss black but curious to see if anyone has done any crazy colors or anything besides black to their sc.
Post up a pic if you did or know of one done.
I have seen the one done in gold plating or something which looks nice but not going for that.

Had someone give me a good idea just before.
Getting them plated with black chrome. I think that should look pretty sweet.
Anyone have that done before?

Hahah idk about purple. I'm thinking any crazy color will wind up looking pretty bad and too busy in the engine bay.
I think either black chrome powder coat or actually plated in black chrome would look nice.
If not then just gloss black powder coat I guess.

it'd be nice if you could match up the valve cover to the color of the aftercooler/supercharger unit. the black engine bay is so badass...

Black is the way to go. I can't imagine any colors looking good for the supercharger but it would be interesting to see one that color matches the color of the car

Matching the color of the car wouldn't look that good I don't think as the car being silverstone it would kind of just look like metal but not I would think.
I think black chrome plated should look pretty good. Either that or just a gloss black or black chrome powder coat I think I will go with.
Matching to the valve cover would be too crazy as mine is candy apple red.
Would maybe re do the valve cover black idk. I kinda like it being red and popping out at you.

I agree. Powdercoating to match Silverstone wouldn't be good. I was thinking more along the lines of Rio, Gran Prix White, or Formula Red.

Yeah definitely not doing that.
Looks lik I will either get it black chrome plated along with the aftercooler and bypass valve or get them powder coated mirror black.
I would think the powder coating would be more durable no?
I just know I have seen chrome plate flaking before and powder coating if done correctly will never chip or flake.
