Default Stolen Black S2000 - Be on the Lookout

Only had it a couple of months, but it was stolen last night from NW 18th Ave between Hoyt and Irving.

100% stock Berlina black 2002 with brand new tires.

License plate # is 798 EJF

VIN is JHMAP11442T009615

If you see it, please call Portland non-emergency at (503) 823-3333 (good to have it saved in your phone anyway). And refer to case # 09-107633 if necessary.

If you have any advice, please let me know. I've driven around the immediate area on the off-chance that something came up and they ditched it, but no go. Seems like there's a 1% chance that it's not stripped somewhere right now, but here's hoping.

I'm going to post this in NW as well just in case.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Just out of curiosity, did you have an alarm?

Let me know what you need, It sounds like this person knows what they

are doing. I want to see you car when you get it back BEFORE you fix

anything so I can figure out how they got around the key bypass so I

can figure out a second dairy starter kill that is not easy to bypass.

Please P.M me when you get your car back.

Geoff

what happen to people only stealing civics, integras, and accords and what not? I thought when I upgraded from a del sol to a s2k, I didn't have to worry about that!

I guess the theives are upgrading as well. Eventually they will be stealing lambos and higher end cars like gone in 60 secs.

Do work Geoff. Let us know if you find out how they are doing it and if you can prevent it.

I was still shopping for an alarm when this happened, but I figured that the immobilizer would help somewhat. Guess not. Sickshift: What happened with yours? Recovered and stripped?
