Quickee background info about me, live in MD, from NY (family still there) very close to the Lynbrook area (and yes i've seen his white 500hp supercharged s2k at UltraSounds).

ok, so here I am... thinking about this car for the last couple of years and now I am in a financial situation to afford one. This WILL be my daily driver though. The dealers in the MD area (that I know of) are asking 32,860 for an '02 (either in stock or order). They "suspect" the most an '03 would cost is about 33,260 (but they can't take ordering until Sept). I've been looking at some used ones and found (what I think) is a good deal on a (priv party) used '00 red w/ black int. almost 16k miles asking a bit over 26k.
I've read what to look for and what to talk to the dealers about when checking on the service of this car (and i've done that for another one I looked at). I really would just like some insight on whether this is a good deal or not. I saw one post about someone (from ca) being able to buy a used 00 for 22-23k. I haven't seen this yet, but if anyone has some insight in the MD area please let me know!
