Default My vacation detailing

For my vacation I shipped some of my detailing supplies to my parents place. I spent 3 days teaching my dad about detailing. I did not bring my DSLR so these pics were taken with my P&S - I was not able to get a good pic of the before swirls, but trust me, they were really bad.

Mom's car - 2003 Mitsubishi Diamante
Mom's car was terribly swirled thanks to the dealership doing a "detail" on the car sometime in the past year or so.

Mom's car after wash

Clay after the hood - wow, how much junk.

After some rock chip fill and sanding.

My dad taking a hand at the Flex. He did a good job for the first time.

After polish.

Rinsing off the polish dust.

Liquid Glass applied - time to wipe off.

After: Wash, Clay, 2 passes on the Flex (Power Finish on Orange pad, and Super Finish on Blue pad) 1 layer glaze on black pad, 3 layers of Liquid Glass.

Dad's car - 2002 Honda Accord

Now Dad's car - his was not anywhere near as bad as mom's. His only needed wash, clay, rock chip repair and one pass with the flex. I did not take any before or during pics of his car.

Very nice! I wanted to show my dad how to properly wash, clay bar, and polish their vehicles but things got kind of busy during the holiday break. I can't wait to show him one of these upcoming weekends. I will be detailing my mom's car for her birthday tomorrow.
